Planetary Nomenclature Neptune presents an engaging approach to mastering the nomenclature of organic molecules in chemistry. The application offers a series of straightforward and precise tutorials that guide users through more than 70 levels, facilitating an effective learning experience.

Users will explore the nomenclature of organic molecules from both perspectives: some levels require matching molecules to their respective names, while others reverse this task. The app also features a drawing tool, allowing users to create molecular structures akin to a construction set.

The creative mode offers additional flexibility, enabling users to construct their own molecules and receive correct nomenclature through the app. This feature is particularly beneficial for those who are uncertain about naming conventions and wish to experiment with various structures. Color-coded markers enhance the learning process by highlighting the different components of molecular names, and users can also obscure names for self-assessment challenges.

Currently, the app includes comprehensive level packages covering alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alcohols, aldehydes, and ketones. Users can additionally construct halogen alkanes and acids. However, ring structures are not yet supported.
